RED PALM WEEVIL TREATMENT: ENDOTHERAPY

  •

  •

Endotherapy is the most effective treatment to eliminate red palm weevil. It is a very clean and safe technique with the environment and with the manpower, since the insecticide does not come into contact with the environment.

Endotherapy consists of providing a very small dose of an insecticide in the central area of the trunk. The vascular bundles transfer the product to the bud.

The larvae die when ingesting the insecticide that circulates through the sap of the treated palm.

Being an effective, economical and clean system, endotherapy is not only the most used treatment in affected palm trees, it is the most recommended for preventive actions on palm trees where the pest has not been detected (preventive treatment).
